At the championship involving some 30 events, national youth records were renewed in four weightlifting categories.

The April 25 Sports Team secured the first place in men's basketball, women's team table-tennis, men's and women's boxing, men's team gymnastics, men's and women's weightlifting, men's and women's field hockey and women's judo.

The Central Physical Training College and the Chobyong Sports Team placed the first in men's and women's volleyball events respectively, the Pyongyang Railway Bureau Sports Team and the Taesongsan Sports Team in men's and women's ice hockey, and the Sports Team under the Ministry of Land and Marine Transport in synchronized swimming.

The Amnokgang Sports Team, the Pyongyang SportsTeam, the Kigwancha SportsTeam, the Haebangsan Sports Team and the Suyangsan Sports Team finished first in women's basketball, men's team table-tennis, women's team gymnastics, men's badminton and women's field and track events respectively.
