Present there were Jo Yun Hae, chairman of the Regional Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States of the Overseas Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration, and other officials and Koreans in Uzbekistan.

The DPRK ambassador to Uzbekistan and staff members of his embassy were present there on invitation.

Speakers said at the meeting that Kim Jong Il's assumption of the supreme commandership of the KPA put the Korean nation's dignity and prestige on the highest level.

Acute confrontation is prevailing on the Korean Peninsula due to the U.S. and its followers' moves to ignite a new war, they said, warning that if the warmongers intrude into the sky, land and sea of the DPRK even an inch, the KPA will blow up the citadel for aggression with deadly blows.

They recalled that Kim Jong Suk embarked on the road of revolution in her early years and made an immortal contribution to the country's liberation and the cause of building a new country true to the intention of President Kim Il Sung, stressing that the revolutionary feats performed by her would always remain shining with the socialist country.

The participants looked round photos, books and materials for information service on display in the venue.

An art performance was given on the same day.
