The method has made it possible to increase the weight increment of young trepangs 50 percent higher than other methods and ensure more than 95 percent in the existence rate in breeding ponds on reclaimed tideland in South Hwanghae and South Phyongan provinces.

The effective method is well accepted by shallow-sea farms.

With the method developed, a major problem in trepang cultivation, that is seasonal limitations, has been solved.
