Songun Politics of WPK Lauded

Pyongyang, December 13 (KCNA) -- The Songun politics pursued by the Workers' Party of Korea is the steadfast policy for independence against imperialism as it provides a sure guarantee for defending the dignity and sovereignty of the nation from foreign forces' aggression moves and achieving victory in the cause of independent reunification in reliance on the invincible revolutionary armed forces. It also serves as a treasured sword for reliably protecting peace on the Korean Peninsula and security of the fellow countrymen. Rodong Sinmun Monday stresses this in a signed article. The Songun politics represents pluck and grit whereby to carve out the nation's destiny in an independent way and the invincible might capable of meeting any high-handed practice and challenge of foreign forces, and that is why it serves as a banner for independently hewing out the destiny of the nation, the article says, and goes on: Peace does not come of its own accord. If one has a weak hand, there will be no other choice but to lament over it. This is a lesson the Korean people have keenly learnt through history and reality. The banner of Songun should be upheld, above anything else, in order to foil the vicious aggression moves of war-like forces at home and abroad, protect peace on the Korean Peninsula and security of the nation and pave the way for peaceful reunification. The banner of Songun represents the noble patriotic will to safeguard the security of the whole nation and the invincible might capable of checking the anti-DPRK war moves of bellicose forces at home and abroad. It is thanks to the powerful Songun politics that a war has not broken out in the Korean Peninsula despite the vicious moves of the U.S. and the south Korean warmongers to ignite a war of aggression on the DPRK. The present reality eloquently proves how just is the choice of the DPRK which has bolstered up its military capability for self-defence in every way under the uplifted banner of Songun. |
