Kim Jong Il's gaining of the supreme commandership of the KPA provided the Korean people with a guarantee for materializing the Songun idea of Kim Il Sung, the chairman of the Ecuadorian national preparatory committee for commemorating the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung said. He wished the Koreans successes in their struggle for defending socialism, building a great prosperous and powerful nation and accomplishing the cause of the national reunification by dint of Songun.

He praised Kim Jong Suk as a revolutionary intensely loyal to the President and a great woman who brought Kim Jong Il up as the successor to the President.

Kim Jong Il's reelection as general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea at its Conference is an expression of the absolute trust of all the party members, soldiers and people of the DPRK in him and a demonstration of their single-minded unity around the leader, the chairman of the Switzerland-Korea Committee said.

The army and people of the DPRK under the leadership of Kim Jong Il with matchless pluck and grit would always emerge victorious, the chief of the Bangladesh Barisal Society for the Study of Songun Policy stressed.

A message of greetings to Kim Jong Il was adopted at the event held in Switzerland.
