The bulletin titled "Great Mother Who Brought up Illustrious Commander of Songun" said: Anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk took arms in her hands in the first half of the 20th century and protected President Kim Il Sung, legendary hero of the anti-Japanese war, recording prominent pages in the history of modern Korea. She brought Kim Jong Il up as the future illustrious commander of Songun in the arduous period of the anti-Japanese struggle and in the early period of nation-building.

Kim Jong Suk taught Kim Jong Il the idea of attaching importance to the army and military affairs, the bulletin noted. Prompted by her ardent desire to see him become an excellent general who would follow in the footsteps of the President, she made a general's uniform for him. Before her demise she earnestly told him to hold the President in reverence, the bulletin added.

Kim Jong Suk was deeply thoughtful of helping Kim Jong Il possess matchless pluck and grit, the bulletin noted, citing facts.

It said that Kim Jong Il, as desired by Kim Jong Suk, has carried forward the cause of the President and glorified the sovereignty of the DPRK, thus winning world-wide reputation as the great illustrious commander of Songun leading the cause of global independence.
