DPRK Anniversaries Marked Abroad

Pyongyang, December 22 (KCNA) -- A meeting took place in Russia, a meeting, a photo exhibition and a film show in Bangladesh and a lecture and a photo exhibition in Finland and seminars in Mexico, Democratic Congo and Tanzania from Dec. 11 to 14. They were held on the occasions of the 19th anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's gaining of the supreme commandership of the Korean People's Army and the 93rd birth anniversary of Kim Jong Suk, anti-Japanese war hero. Displayed were photos on the undying Songun revolutionary leadership exploits of Kim Jong Il and the revolutionary career of Kim Jong Suk. Films shown included "Reply of DPRK". Kim Jong Il's gaining of the supreme commandership of the KPA marked a great event for not only the Korean people but progressive mankind, said Yuri Vanin, vice-chairman of the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DRPK. Kim Jong Il trained the KPA as an invincible army which no formidable enemy dare provoke, said M. Gamrul Huda, chairman of the Bangladesh Institute of the Juche Idea. Antti Sika Aho, chairman of the Finland-Korea Society, also praised the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il, stressing that Kim Jong Suk is a true patriot and indomitable fighter who devoted herself to the accomplishment of the revolutionary cause of President Kim Il Sung. The Songun politics of Kim Jong Il serves as an almighty treasured sword, said Ramon Jimenez Lopez, president of the Mexican Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism. Francis F. Lyimo, chairman of the Tanzanian National Coordinating Committee of the Juche Idea Study Groups, noted that the KPA is demonstrating its might as an invincible army thanks to Kim Jong Il. A message of greetings to Kim Jong Il was adopted at the meeting held in Russia. |
