It provides a sure guarantee not only for the socialist society but for peace and security on the Korean Peninsula under his wise leadership, he added.

Kim Jong Il has performed undying exploits by developing the DPRK into an indestructible socialist bulwark and training the KPA as a defender of justice and peace under the uplifted banner of Songun. This is lauded not only by the Korean people but the world progressives, the statement said.

Our party fully supports Kim Jong Il's independent politics, the Songun politics and is firmly convinced that the army and people of the DPRK will win only victories in the drive for building a thriving socialist nation and on the front against imperialism, the statement added.
