Pyongyang, December 24 (KCNA) -- Fifteen years has passed since General Secretary Kim Jong Il published a famous work, "Respecting the Forerunners of the Revolution Is a Noble Moral Obligation of Revolutionaries." The work stresses that with a strong sense of moral obligation respecting their forerunners can the revolutionaries defend the gains of the revolution through generations and successfully advance the cause of socialism. After the work was published on December 25, the spirit of respecting forerunners of the revolution has been fully displayed in Korean society. The Kumsusan Memorial Palace was built as the sacred headquarters of Juche to keep President Kim Il Sung in state. The revolution and construction have been accelerated in line with his ideas and lifetime intention. The indomitable revolutionary spirit and fighting manner created by the forerunners have been carried forward in the effort for the building of a thriving nation. Their ideal and desire have come true with huge projects like Taegyedo tideland reclamation, Nyongwon Power Station and Miru Plain Waterway completed and streamlined industrial establishments built throughout the country and material foundations for the improvement of the people's living standard further consolidated.
