Present there were officials of the Commonwealth of Independent States Regional Committee of the Overseas Side to the Committee for Implementing June 15 Joint Declaration and Koreans in Uzbekistan.

Present on invitation were the DPRK ambassador to Uzbekistan and staff members of the DPRK embassy there.

Speakers said that Kim Jong Il has channeled primary efforts into bolstering the national defence capability and firmly prepared the Korean People's Army as a matchless army capable of beating back any formidable enemy through his inspections of the front.

Thanks to his commandership the DPRK has dynamically advanced along the road of socialism despite the moves of the imperialists to isolate and stifle it and demonstrated its might as an invincible state before the world, he stressed.

Kim Jong Il unrolled a plan to build a thriving socialist nation in which the people will live with nothing to desire more in the world as wished for by Kim Jong Suk and has exerted every effort to materialize it.
