The situation on the Korean Peninsula remains extremely tense due to the military provocation of the U.S. and the south Korean puppet military warmongers, the declaration said, and went on:

The heroic Korean People's Army promptly took a resolute physical counter-action against the provokers and the south Korean warmongers upon their violation of the territorial waters of the DPRK. Recognizing it as just self-defensive step no one can find fault, the federation strongly urges the U.S. and south Korea to immediately stop the reckless military provocation and war exercises on the Korean Peninsula.

Korea should be reunified based on the three charters for national reunification, the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and the October 4 declaration. We urge the U.S. to replace the Korean Armistice Agreement with a peace agreement and withdraw its armed forces from south Korea without delay.
