Expressing deep concern over the touch-and-go situation prevailing on the Korean Peninsula due to the south Korean puppet military forces, the statement strongly demanded the south Korean authorities immediately stop the DPRK-targeted provocation.

When the U.S. and south Korean military forces kicked off war maneuvers, the DPRK exercised utmost self-restraint to keep the situation on the peninsula from turning worse and protect peace and stability, said the statement.

Nevertheless, the south Korean authorities perpetrated the military provocations, a reckless and unjustifiable war act, under the patronage of the United States, charged the statement, adding:

Peace and security of the peninsula are closely related to peace and security in Asia and the rest of the world.

If the military provocation committed by the south Korean authorities bring a grave war disaster to the peninsula, the U.S. and south Korea are to blame for all the consequences.

We fully support the just self-defensive struggle and efforts of the government and people of the DPRK for peace and security on the peninsula.

The U.S. and south Korea should immediately stop war exercises and military provocations against the DPRK.
