Reception in Moscow Marks DPRK Anniversaries
Pyongyang, December 29 (KCNA) -- The DPRK embassy in Moscow gave a reception on Dec. 23 to observe the 19th anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il as supreme commander of the Korean People's Army and the 93rd birth anniversary of anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk.

Present there on invitation were personages of the government, political parties and organizations of Russia.

They included Aleksandr Torshyn, first vice-chairman of the Federation Council of Russia, a roving ambassador of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and personages of the Liberal Democratic Party, the Party for Peace and Unity, the Communist Party of Soviet Union, All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Economy and Development, the Academy of Sciences, the Railway Company, the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK, the Russian Federation of International Charity Organizations "World of Goodwill" and groups for the study of the Juche idea.

Ambassador Kim Yong Jae and staff members of the DPRK embassy were on hand.

The participants laid a floral basket and bouquets before the full-length painting of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il. And they looked round photos under the titles "Leader Kim Jong Il and Science and Technology of the DPRK" and "The Whole Life Dedicated to the People".

Speeches were made there.
