Cutting Faces Made Large at Ryongyang Mine
Pyongyang, December 29 (KCNA) -- The Ryongyang Mine, the DPRK's giant magnesite producer, has made its cutting sites large-sized.

This year the Kumsan and Youth pits have turned their cutting sites into large-sized stopes to raise the production 50 percent higher than the previous year.

A ring road was built to connect large cutting faces with each other and the ore-unloading place was reconstructed at the Kumsan Pit.

Its miners have employed a caving method to boost the output.

The project of making cutting faces Nos. 2 and 3 of the June 5 Pit is making headway in the mine.

With the cutting faces made large-sized and cutting methods suitable for them introduced, it has been possible for the mine to massively mine and dress ores.
