It accused the U.S. imperialists and the pro-American south Korean bellicose forces of conducting another shelling drill in waters off Yonphyong Island in the West Sea of Korea.

Their military provocation was a product of a cunning scenario to intentionally use the Korean People's Army's military counter-action as a good opportunity for saving their Asian policy and anti-DPRK strategy from bankruptcy, the statement pointed out, and went on:

The recent provocation was no more than a childish one conducted by cowards without an equal because they staged it, shifting even the waters to be a scene of shelling and its target for fear of the second and third retaliation by the KPA.

As already declared by the KPA before the world, there will be no limit to its future counter-action and it will lead to blowing up the bases of the U.S. and the south Korean puppet warmongers, added the statement.

The France-DPRK Friendship Association said in a statement on the same day that the reckless military provocation was a blatant challenge to the peace-loving stand of the DPRK and other countries for detente on the Korean Peninsula.

The statement declared that the association would launch a widespread international signature campaign urging the DPRK and the U.S. to conclude a peace agreement as early as possible.
