Kim Jong Il Greets Raul Castro Ruz

Pyongyang, December 31 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il together with Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, Friday sent a message of greetings to Raul Castro Ruz, second secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, president of the Council of State and president of the Council of Ministers of Cuba, on the occasion of the 52nd anniversary of the victory in the Cuban revolution.

The message said:

We extend warm felicitations to you, the CPC and the government and people of Cuba in the name of the WPK and the government and people of the DPRK on the occasion of the 52nd anniversary of the victory in the Cuban revolution.

The Korean people are sincerely rejoiced over the many achievements made by the fraternal Cuban people in socialist construction since their victory in the revolution.

We, availing ourselves of this opportunity, express belief that the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the two parties, governments and peoples will steadily grow stronger and sincerely wish you and your people bigger successes in the work for the country's development and prosperity.
