Pyongyang, January 1 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il received a congratulatory letter from the Central Committee of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front Saturday, New Year's Day. The letter said: Last year 2010 was a year full of pride when a new historic turn was made in accomplishing the revolutionary cause of Juche in the DPRK and its power and dignity were fully demonstrated all over the world. The historic Conference of the Workers' Party of Korea reelected you to its top post and provided a sure guarantee for accomplishing the revolutionary cause of Songun and events took place to celebrate the 65th WPK birthday. They were great auspicious events to be specially recorded in the history of Kim Il Sung's nation and a grand political festival that showed the revolutionary faith and indomitable will of the service personnel and people in the north and the invincible might of Songun Korea. Last year you took compatriotic steps on your own initiative to radically improve the north-south relations despite the vicious challenges of anti-reunification forces at home and abroad, infusing fresh energy into the movement for national reunification. This helped energetically wage the struggle for implementing the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration nationwide. Two rounds of your historic visit to China last year and energetic external activities made a great contribution to foiling the imperialists' moves for aggression and war and achieving global peace and stability and accomplishing the human cause of independence. The AINDF will wage a vigorous struggle to implement the June 15 joint declaration and its practical programme, the October 4 declaration. And it will hold higher the banner of struggle for peace against the U.S. and war and smash every anti-reunification and confrontation and war move against the north on the part of the warmongers at home and abroad, the letter said. |
