The statement bitterly denounced the U.S. imperialists and the south Korean puppet military warmongers for having perpetrated the reckless military provocation in the area of Yonphyong Island again on Dec. 20, far from drawing due lesson from the disgraceful defeat in the last Yonphyong Island shelling.

The statement said:

We are greatly encouraged by the triumphant stand of the revolutionary armed forces of the DPRK, the invincible army of Mt. Paektu, which did not feel any need to retaliate against every despicable military provocation like one taking revenge after facing a blow.

We fully support the KPA supreme command's bomb-like declaration that the second and third powerful retaliatory strike to be made by the revolutionary armed forces of the DPRK knowing no limit will lead to blowing up the bases of the U.S. and south Korean puppet warmongers.

We call upon all the political parties, governments and organizations of the world desirous of peace, stability and reunification of the Korean Peninsula to clearly know that the U.S. imperialists and the south Korean puppet military warmongers are real provokers caring for war and continue fully supporting the just struggle of the Korean people, genuine guardian of peace.
