Kim in the message referred to the praiseworthy successes achieved by Chongryon last year.

The message said:

Juche 100 (2011) is a significant year marking a glorious century of Kim Il Sung's nation. And it is an important year to witness a decisive turn in the building of a great prosperous and powerful socialist nation and the development of Koreans movement in Japan under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il true to the noble behests of President Kim Il Sung.

In the New Year Chongryon should give full play to the mental power and potential of its officials and compatriots by implanting the unshakable faith in Juche and the tradition of patriotism into their minds, consolidate its organizations at all levels as firm as a rock, develop national education and closely rally the compatriots from all walks of life including young Koreans and Koreans in commerce and thus make this year a historic year to be remembered long in waging the Koreans movement in Japan in the new century.

Chongryon and Koreans in Japan should make a tangible contribution to accomplishing the cause of building a thriving nation of Juche and achieving peace and prosperity of the whole nation and independent reunification of the country. And they should also strive to develop friendship and solidarity with the Japanese people.

The message expressed the belief that Chongryon and Koreans in Japan would achieve good successes in the work this year, single-mindedly united with conviction and optimism about the sure victory of the Juche revolutionary cause and the patriotic cause of Chongryon. It wished the chairman and all other officials of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan good health and happiness.
