Your outstanding guidance brought the country's political and military might to the highest stage and the Korean army and people dashed toward a thriving nation in high spirit in Juche 99.

Last year was a year of victory and glory which marked the heyday of Songun Korea.

You, regarding Chongryon officials and Koreans in Japan as members of the same family, have led them together with those in homeland to carrying forward the revolutionary cause of Juche. You are, indeed, defender of our destiny and kind teacher.

We will step up international activities for implementation of the DPRK-Japan Pyongyang Declaration and normalization of bilateral relations. We will also stir up public opinion for the lift of unwarranted sanctions imposed by the Japanese authorities including embargo on "Mangyongbong-92".

We will decisively foil the south Korean anti-reunification forces' moves for confrontation with fellow countrymen and war and join the nationwide reunification movement for defending and implementing the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration.

We will make tangible contribution to pilot fields of national economy and improvement of people's living standard in the homeland.
