The audience included senior party, army and state officials, chairperson of a friendly party, officials of the party and armed forces organs, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions, soldiers of the Korean People's Army and working people in Pyongyang.

Present there on invitation were overseas compatriots, the chief of the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front, diplomatic envoys of different countries and representatives of international organizations and members of the military attaches corps here.

The concert started with "Happy New Year" included numbers like "We Think of General", "Korea Can Do Anything Once It Is Determined" and "Hold High the Red Flag".

The performers praised the feats of General Secretary Kim Jong Il who provided field guidance to construction sites alive with high-pitched drive all year round, while making a forced march to translate the grand plan for the country's prosperity into reality.
