The statement accused the Yongdungpho Police Station in Seoul of issuing a summons to the honorary chairman to appear at the police station on charge of the violation of the "law on assembly and demonstration" for the mere reason that a press conference was held by the headquarters before the building of the Intelligence Service in May 2009.

The statement held that the holding of the press conference was a just action taken in protest against the police's reckless suppression of the headquarters.

This being a hard reality, the security authorities are suppressing him under an absurd pretext though he conducted activities for independence, democracy and reunification, the statement deplored, expressing an irrepressible anger at them.

Chiding the security authorities' suppression from the outset of the year, the statement declared that people from all walks of life would struggle against the unreasonable suppression of the forces for reunification and democracy.
