DPRK's Joint New Year Editorial Supported

Pyongyang, January 13 (KCNA) -- Political parties and organizations of different countries made public statements in support of the joint New Year editorial of the DPRK. The Bangladesh People's League said in a statement on Jan. 8 that the joint New Year editorial is a militant banner as it reflects the noble idea and will of General Secretary Kim Jong Il and the ways to materialize them. The statement expressed belief that the Workers' Party of Korea would bring about uninterrupted innovations and advances, confident of victory, and thus effect a decisive turn in the improvement of the people's standard of living and the building of a great, prosperous and powerful nation and gain achievements in the struggle for national reunification. The Federal Leadership of the Left Bloc of the Austrian Trade Union Federation in a statement on Jan. 4 expressed its unequivocal support to the tasks laid down in the joint editorial. Expressing hope that the dialogue between the north and the south of Korea would be realized in 2011 in the spirit of the north-south joint declaration, the organization noted it would make every effort to boost solidarity with the DPRK. The Ethiopian Youth Study Group of the Juche Idea said in a statement on Jan. 7 that it would organize diverse events to significantly commemorate the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung with the Korean people. The statement demanded the U.S. and the south Korean authorities stop any military exercise likely to strain the situation on the Korean Peninsula in 2011. |
