The League acknowledged that the joint statement of the DPRK government, political parties and organizations fully reflected the invariable and patriotic policy of the peace-loving Workers' Party of Korea and DPRK government to achieve the independent and peaceful reunification of the Korean Peninsula, said the statement.

It further went on:

The League hopes that the Korean people will register successes in the work to implement the last instructions of President Kim Il Sung for national reunification and ensure peace and security on the peninsula.

It strongly demands that the south Korean authorities immediately respond to the DPRK's proposal and that the U.S. imperialists put an end to their domination over south Korea and discontinue their anti-DPRK moves.
