KCNA Dismisses Reckless Remarks of Senior Japanese Official
|
|
Pyongyang, January 17 (KCNA) -- Nakano in charge of issues of "abduction" of Japan on Jan. 14 let loose a spate of invectives terming the DPRK "dictatorial state" and the like. What he uttered was so vulgar and mean that one can hardly think this was mouthed by a member of the Cabinet. His remarks were based on the extreme bitterness toward the DPRK as was the case with all political tricksters handling affairs related to abduction. What matters is that he made the above-said remarks when the issue of resuming dialogue between the DPRK and Japan is on the agenda and strong voices are heard from the international community calling for defusing the tension on the Korean Peninsula and the rest of Northeast Asia through negotiations. It must not go unnoticed that these outbursts were let loose right after the emergence of the new Cabinet in Japan. This shows that the Japanese ultra-right conservative forces including Nakano are making a blatant challenge to the atmosphere of dialogue, being uneasy about it, and leaving no means untried to bar the new Cabinet from coming out to resume the dialogue. No wonder, he cried out for employing every possible means and method to tighten sanctions against the DPRK. Experts on abduction including Nakano have employed the same method for hampering the solution of the pending issues between the DPRK and Japan to fish in troubled waters. It was sheer nonsense that he painted the regime in the DPRK as "an improper group" while describing Japan as a "democratic state". Japan is seeking revenge for its defeat in the war while advocating "peace in the East". The "building of a war state" pushed forward by the Japanese reactionaries is a challenge to freedom and democracy as it is aimed at restoring the order of unchallenged domination over Asia. Japan is not qualified to talk about democracy. It is keen to repeat its blood-stained past history and, at the same time, free with politically motivated terrorism, wantonly violating the democratic national rights of the Koreans in Japan. The ruling quarters of Japan should be branded as an improper group and its state as a dictatorial one. The international community should be vigilant against the dangerous moves of the Japanese right-wing forces. |
