Minju Joson on Japan's Ambition for Overseas Aggression
|

Pyongyang, January 18 (KCNA) -- Recently Japan had confabs for strengthened military cooperation with the U.S., asserting the "need" to tighten the "security alliance" with it to cope with "contingency" on the Korean Peninsula and its vicinity. Minju Joson, a major newspaper of the DPRK, disclosed this fact in a bylined commentary Tuesday. The commentary said: The Japan Defense Ministry decided to transfer the Missile Defense Command to the U.S. military base in Yokota within the year as a step for speeding up the establishment of missile defense system. It also decided to deploy land-based interceptor missiles in Okinawa, first of its kind. Such militarist hysteria of Japan poses a serious threat to peace and security in Northeast Asia. Japan's talk about "threat" from someone is sophism to justify its scheme for overseas expansion, an invariable design and strategic goal of Japan. In recent years, the Japanese reactionaries' moves for overseas aggression have reached an extreme pitch. Their scheme to boost military cooperation with the U.S. is a revelation of the Japanese militarist forces' dangerous war scenario aimed at reinvasion of not only Korea and China but also other Asian countries. Japan is no longer a "pacifist state." The Japanese reactionaries should squarely see the present era going toward peace and stop at once the anachronistic moves for reinvasion, which will precipitate their own destruction. |
