The Executive Committee of the Party for Peace and Unity of Russia in a statement on Jan. 13 expressed steadfast support for the DPRK aspiring after peace and stability.

The only solution is for the north and the south of Korea to terminate their confrontation through dialogue, it said, adding: There is no other way for settling the complexity of their relationship and preventing unpredictable consequences.

The Party for Peace and Unity of Russia hopes that the situation of Northeast Asia would become stable as early as possible and affirms its support for the DPRK and its people, the statement declared.

The Maritime Territorial Regional Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation in a statement on the same day said that the joint statement conforms with the hope and desire of not only the Korean people but also world peace-loving forces. And it urged the south Korean authorities to accept it with sincerity.

The Far Eastern Association for the Study of the Juche Idea and the Songun Policy of Russia in a statement on Jan. 12 appealed to the international community to actively back the DPRK's proposals for peace.

Dialogue and negotiations are the only way for tiding over the difficult situation of the Korean Peninsula, said the Study Association on the DPRK of the Asia-Africa Institute under Moscow State University in a statement that day.
