The Paektusan Czech-Korean Friendship Association and the Czech Group for the Study and Materialization of the Juche Idea in a joint statement on Jan. 12 said the proposal is the just one reflecting the requirement of the prevailing situation and the mission and responsibility of the Koreans before the times and the nation.

The proposal is another important initiative to avert the danger of a war on the Korean Peninsula and realize the ardent desire of the Koreans for its reunification, said the statement.

History shows that confrontation can never help settle the issue of the north-south relations but will spark armed conflict and war only, it said. In case another war breaks out on the peninsula, the Koreans will fall victim to it and foreign forces will fish in troubled waters, it added.
