Kim Jong Il Sends Autograph to Discharged Soldiers

Pyongyang, January 19 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il sent autograph to 12 discharged soldiers who were dispatched to Jonchon County, Jagang Province in the northwestern part of the DPRK. It reads "I hope you will become excellent men of the country like the heroes of light comedy 'An Echo among the Hills.' Kim Jong Il 2011. 1. 18."

They sent a letter to Kim Jong Il on Jan. 15. In the letter they expressed their resolution to become genuine masters of the native land and make it an ideal and beautiful village for the people by working hard in the soldier spirit like the hero of the light comedy "An Echo among the Hills." They also resolved themselves to fulfill their duty as patriotic farmers in the Songun era.
