It is an important requirement for ensuring peace at present to attach importance to dialogue and negotiations and strive to mend fences, the article noted, and went on:

The U.S. imperialists' pursuance of their policy of strength did not lead to the outbreak of the second Korean war because the DPRK has steadily implemented the Songun line.

It is the desire and goal of the DPRK to ensure durable peace.
