S. Korean "Government" Urged to Come out for Dialogue

Pyongyang, January 21 (KCNA) -- Jon Hyon Hui, floor spokesperson for the Democratic Party of south Korea, said at a press conference on Monday that now is the time for the "government" to make an official response to the north's proposal for dialogue at least.

If the "government" takes a passive approach towards the south-north dialogue, persistently putting up preconditions on it, it will have a lot to lose in terms of both diplomacy and the south-north relations, she added.

She emphasized that if the "government" turns its face away from the international community's call for giving precedence to dialogue, this will entail a heavy diplomatic burden.
