Joint Statement of DPRK Supported in Austria

Pyongyang, January 25 (KCNA) -- The Federal Leadership of the Left Bloc of the Austrian Trade Union Federation released an appeal on Jan. 17 in support of the DPRK joint statement of government, political parties and organizations.

The organization called upon trade unions in Europe and under the World Federation of Trade Unions to positively support the DPRK proposal for dialogue and negotiations between the north and the south of Korea, a way for contributing to peace and security of the Korean Peninsula and the region.

Only dialogue and negotiations can ensure durable peace on the peninsula and the region, it said, urging the south Korean authorities to promptly accept this important proposal.
