The DPRK's proposal for dialogue and negotiations between the north and the south of Korea is the only way for solving the issue of the Korean Peninsula by the nation itself while rejecting outsiders' interference and improving the north-south relations at a crisis, the letter said.

The DPRK joint statement is a positive step greatly helpful to the reunification movement of the Korean people, it added.

We extend firm solidarity to the struggle of all the Korean people including workers, it said.
