Pyongyang, February 1 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il gave field guidance to the Sinhung Machine Plant. Being briefed on the prospect of the production at the plant, he went round various workshops to acquaint himself in detail with its technological updating and production there. Learning in detail about the mechanism, capacity and principle of operation of newly made machines, he was greatly satisfied to know that the officials, workers and technicians of the plant built a lot of modern machines conducive to the building of an economic power by pooling their creative wisdom. He highly appreciated the successes made by the workers of the plant in the past, noting that they manufactured a lot of modern machines for various fields of the national economy, making great contribution to the cause of building a thriving socialist nation. He met Pak Chun Nam and Pak Chun Sun, twin sisters, whom he had met in the worksite more than two decades ago, and kindly asked about their work and life. He praised them for having worked hard with fervent enthusiasm and patriotic devotion for the prosperity of the country up to this date since their girlhood. He was very pleased to hear from leading officials that everything was going well at the plant largely thanks to the devoted efforts of the members of the guidance group taking upon themselves the important part of its task, sharing weal and woe with workers in the work sites. Our officials should become fighters who not only support the Party's policies but devotedly implement them in practice, he noted, setting forth the tasks to be fulfilled by the plant. The most important task facing the plant is to dynamically conduct the work for rapidly boosting the manufacture of new products, he added. Earnestly calling on the plant to continue channeling great efforts into the supply service for the workers, bearing deep in mind the instruction of President Kim Il Sung that supply service precisely means a political work, he took benevolent measures for the workers of the plant. He ardently called upon the workers to make every moment of their life rewarding in the era of great surge by working the way the President did. He said: The President carried out every job with a noble will and great ideal. He was a possessor of such indomitable spirit as carrying out under any circumstances with strong pluck and full of optimism whatever others considered impossible. He was bold enough to create everything that shook the world. He did everything in such a revolutionary work style that it might be impeccable in all aspects to enable posterity to benefit from it. He expressed great expectation and belief that the workers of the plant would play a vanguard role in the building of a thriving socialist nation in the future, too. He was accompanied by Kim Ki Nam and Hong Sok Hyong, members of the Political Bureau and secretaries of the C.C., the WPK, Kim Kyong Hui, member of the Political Bureau and department director of the C.C., the WPK, Thae Jong Su, alternate member of the Political Bureau and secretary of the C.C., the WPK, Hyon Chol Hae and Ri Myong Su, department directors of the NDC, and Kwak Pom Gi, chief secretary of the South Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the WPK. |
