Present there were Premier of the Cabinet Choe Yong Rim, Vice-Premiers Jon Ha Chol and Jo Pyong Ju, officials of ministries and national institutions and officials in the field of quality control.

The work, published on February 2, Juche 70 (1981), gives perfect exposition of theoretical and practical issues arising in displaying the advantages and vitality of the Korean-style quality control system.

It also indicates the tasks and ways for intensifying the work for quality control, including problems of enhancing the authority and function of the state quality control organizations, establishing the strict discipline and order in their work and building up the ranks of quality control personnel.

At the meeting its participants heard the recorded speech "On Improving Quality Control" made by Kim Il Sung at a national conference of quality control workers.

Choe Hui Jong, department director of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea, made a report.

The reporter said the work is an important guideline that should be always held fast to in improving the quality control work as required by the developing reality.

The reporter noted that Kim Il Sung wisely led the quality control work so that it could contribute to promoting the development of the national economy and improving the people's standard of material and cultural living.

His exploits for the development of the quality control work have been glorified by leader Kim Jong Il, the reporter said, adding:

Under his wise leadership, great progress has been made in the standardization and the quality of products improved in various fields of the national economy in recent years. Thus the nation's quality control work has developed onto a new higher stage.

The reporter underlined the need for all the officials to intensify the quality control work and thus make positive contribution to the improvement of the people's living standard and the building of a great prosperous and powerful nation true to the leadership of Kim Jong Il.
