Cuautemoc Amezcua Dromundo, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Popular Party of Mexico, said this in a statement on January 25 on the occasion of the birthday of Kim Jong Il.

He noted that Kim Jong Il has developed the Workers' Party of Korea into the party of President Kim Il Sung, an invincible and powerful one and one leading the world socialist movement with his experienced and tested leadership.

Under the Songun revolutionary leadership of Kim Jong Il the base of the Korean revolution was consolidated in every way, signal successes were achieved in the building of a thriving nation and the international prestige of the country was remarkably exalted, he stressed.
