Pyongyang, February 9 (KCNA) -- The Northern Caucasian Regional Organization of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks of Russia on Jan. 31 posted on its internet homepage an article titled "DPRK's efforts for the north-south dialogue". The article said that the sincere efforts of the DPRK have created on the Korean Peninsula the possibilities of defusing the situation inching close to the brink of war. Those forces which seek to pursue their selfish purposes through the escalation of tension and confrontation, however, are getting more cunning in their moves to obstruct the dialogue, the article noted, and went on: In order to avoid the vicious cycle of increasing tension on the peninsula it is important not to miss the hard-won opportunity but to give momentum to the atmosphere of dialogue. The nuclear issue on the peninsula was spawned entirely to the U.S. threat of a nuclear war and hostile policy toward the DPRK and there should be, therefore, a modality of dialogue for eradicating its root cause. The DPRK remains invariable in its stand to denuclearize the peninsula. The International Alliance of Societies for the Study of the Juche Idea and Songun Policy in East European and Central Asian Regions posted an appeal of the Central Committee of the Democratic Front for the Reunification of Korea to the entire Korean nation on its internet homepage on Feb. 2. |
