February will witness a contest of Sinsollo. This contest is to be taken part in by 25 units from different parts of the country including Pyongyang City.

In April, there will be a festival of holiday food, national contest of cooking skills, contest of local specialties, contest of breeding fish cooking skills and a contest of sea fish cooking skills.

The rare fishes to be used in the contests include salmon, sea rainbow trout, sturgeon and eel.

Besides, exhibitions of raw rice wine, tangogi and adzuki-bean gruel taken on the winter solstice, favorite food and drink of the Koreans, are to be held in various forms and methods.

The Specialist Restaurant under the Okryu Restaurant and other catering centers in Pyongyang and local areas are now making brisk preparations for the contests.
