On display there are at least 300 photos including those on the feats by the leader working heart and soul for the building of a thriving nation of Juche, the human cause of independence and national reunification.

Among them are pictures on energetic external activities of Kim Jong Il, who made a great contribution to the development of the DPRK-China friendship by visiting China two times last year, and the stirring reality of the country where epoch-making events are taking place one after another.

Its opening ceremony was held at the People's Palace of Culture on Thursday.

Present there were Kim Ki Nam, Yang Hyong Sop, officials concerned and working people in the city of Pyongyang.

An Tong Chun, minister of Culture, addressed the ceremony.
