Agricultural Workers and Women's Union Hold Meeting
Pyongyang, February 10 (KCNA) -- Agricultural workers and women's union members of the DPRK met in the plaza of the Party Founding Memorial Tower and at the Women's Hall on Thursday to celebrate the birthday of General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

Ri Myong Gil, chairman of the C.C., the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea (UAWK), and Ro Song Sil, chairwoman of the C.C., the Democratic Women's Union of Korea, made reports at the meetings which were followed by speeches.

The reporters and speakers said that the birth of Kim Jong Il in Mt. Paektu, the sacred mountain of the revolution, was a great fortune of the Korean nation that provided rosy future of Juche Korea and a great auspicious event of mankind.

Under his guidance, the Korean people could advance along the road of victory, displaying the dignity and honor of Kim Il Sung's nation, they stressed.

They stressed the need for all the people to cherish the pride and self-esteem of the Korean nation blessed with illustrious leaders generation after generation and discharge their role in the grand march for the improvement of the people's standard of living.

Attending the meetings were Choe Ryong Hae, secretary of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned, officials of the UAWK and the DWUK, agricultural workers and women's union members.
