GNP's Move to Stay in Power Denounced
Pyongyang, February 11 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Democratic Labor Party of south Korea assailed the "Grand National Party" for turning away from the people's livelihood and trying to stay in power. He issued a commentary on February 8.

The commentary disclosed that the GNP is absorbed in the discussion of constitutional revision only inside party headquarters, not allowing anyone to go out after locking up the door.

It is a known fact that this discussion was prompted by an intention of the present ruling forces to stay in power, the commentary said.

It is not proper to be locked in an armchair argument at a time when the people mire in predicament, suffering from foot-and-mouth diseases, sharp price hike, etc.

With nothing can the GNP cover its nature as a party pursuing its interests only, the commentary said, urging it to take it to heart.
