|
|
Pyongyang, February 11 (KCNA) -- Lyric song "Ryonggangginari," one of the famous folk songs in Korea, truthfully represents the work of Koreans. Its words vividly describe their work and its melody is jovial and enchanting. The song, a combination of Kinari tune and Tharyong tune for dance originating from the Ryonggang area, has been popular among working people. Wherever rice-planting, weeding and spinning and other work are done this song became favorite for people. Still now one can hear a story about "Kinari", a song which people like to sing alternately, when visiting Ryonggang and Kangso areas. Orchestral music "A Bumper Harvest in the Chongsan Plain" composed in the 1970s made a successful musical representation of the spirit and optimism of agricultural workers. This is based on the melodic characteristics of "Ryonggangginari." The song is still regarded as an important element of orchestral music and liked by people for its attractive melody. |
