In this connection Pae Min Ok, 63, director of the Korean Kimilsungia-Kimjongila Committee, was interviewed by KCNA.

Asked about the theme and scope of the festival, she said:

The theme of the festival is "February in which Kimjongilias are in full bloom is the spring for all people to sing praises of the leader."

To be displayed in the festival are potted Kimjongilias presented by armed forces organs, ministries, national institutions, the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan, diplomatic missions of different countries and missions of international organizations here, organizations for friendship and solidarity with the DPRK, more than 80 units in all, soldiers, people from all walks of life, school youth and children, overseas Koreans and foreigners.

The festival will take place at the Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia Exhibition on the bank of the River Taedong from Feb. 14 to 21.

Asked about how preparations for the festival are going on with its opening just a few days off, she answered:

Large electronic displays have been set up on either side of the exhibition hall and the distribution of display stands is near completion according to the layout of the venue.

There will be a number of changes in the distribution of decorative lights and lighting to add to the festivity.

Utmost sincerity is being shown by all units and participants to display Kimjongilias, the most beautiful, immortal flowers.
