Attending the wreath-laying ceremony were Vice-Minister Choe Jung Hwa and other officials of the DPRK Ministry of People's Security and the Chinese minister's party, Ambassador Liu Hongcai and staff members of the Chinese embassy here.

Placed before the tower was the wreath in the name of Meng Jianzhu.

The participants observed a moment's silence in memory of the martyrs of the Chinese People's Volunteers, who fought in the Korean front against the armed invasion of the U.S. imperialists, and went round the tower.

Meng Jianzhu made an entry in the visitor's book.
