Among them is Yun Sol Hwa, 68, physical culture and sports teacher of Kang Pan Sok Secondary School.

She has trained at least 100 promising young basketball players for the last nearly four decades.

Under her coaching, members of the basketball team of the school bagged many gold medals at more than 50 national and Pyongyang city boys matches among secondary schools.

Her onetime students are now active at the April 25 Sports Team, the Amnokgang Sports Team, the Pyongyang Sports Team and other famous sports teams in the country.

When interviewed by KCNA, Yun said: "I feel proud of being an educator whenever I look back on the successes gained in the past. I will do my best to train more promising young players in the days ahead to contribute to the nation's development of sports technique".
