The spokesman of the Information Department of the Defense Ministry said the air defense systems were deployed in Moscow for defending the sky above Moscow.

"Such systems have already been used to defend the capital city of Moscow," he said. "Other kinds of systems are also planned to be deployed for metropolitan defense."
