Speeches were made there under such themes as "The stockbreeding-agricultural production cycle is the best system for promoting the development of animal husbandry" and "The stockbreeding-agricultural production cycle is the basic way for ensuring the profitability of animal husbandry".

The speakers noted that General Secretary Kim Jong Il clarified the essence of the food production cycle and the ways for introducing this system while giving field guidance to co-op farms and modern stockbreeding bases across the country. And they introduced in detail the successes gained in this work.

There were also a public presentation of scientific and technological papers and an exhibition of achievements.

60 odd papers on scientific research and technological innovation gains were introduced at the presentation and 70 odd kinds of new technological products presented to the exhibition. Meanwhile, a lecture on science and technology was given during the symposium.

In the period there was a brisk campaign for spread of scientific and technological knowledge and exchange of new technologies.
