Anecdote about Kim Il Sung
|
|
Pyongyang, February 25 (KCNA) -- It happened one day in August of 1966 when President Kim Il Sung left on field guidance to a tideland reclamation site. But it rained, accompanied by strong wind from that morning. To crown it all, it was necessary to travel to the site by ship. The officials accompanying the President told him to avoid going there by ship in such bad weather. The President, however, boarded the ship, saying he should meet with the builders in the tideland reclamation site without fail. Upon arriving at the site, braving rough waves, he shook hands with its officials one by one and asked them about the progress made in the reclamation since its start. After hearing them, he exclaimed what a gigantic project they were undertaking and what a wonderful natural resource it would bring. He encouraged the builders, noting patriotism was displayed there. |
