He chided the ministry for claiming recently that "its policy towards the north over the last three years was a principled one."

He ridiculed the ministry, saying people are raising such question as to whether it has existed under the present "government", yet it is so absurd as to praise itself.

Holding that the south-north relations have deteriorated due to the present "government," he stressed that the ministry should feel ashamed of it.

There is no need to maintain the ministry indifferent to reunification any longer but there should be only a ministry for reunification active for inter-Korean dialogue, exchange and cooperation, he held.
