At that time the hatred of the Korean people against the Japanese imperialists reached its height as they desperately worked to suppress the anti-Japanese movement in Korea.

Under the guidance of Kim Il Sung many revolutionaries grew up amid the arduous struggle for years and the KPRA developed into the powerful armed forces which were tempered politically and ideologically and which acquired a wealth of combat experience.

On the basis of a scientific insight into the situation which prevailed at that time and the requirements of the developing revolution he delivered a report titled "The Tasks of Communists in the Strengthening and Development of the Anti-Japanese National Liberation Struggle" at the meeting.

He, in the report, called on the Korean communists to work heart and soul for the Korean revolution, deeply aware of the truth that they are the masters of it and their responsibility.

He also clarified the tasks for letting the main force of the KPRA advance into the border areas, gradually expanding the theatre of its actions to the homeland, further developing the movement for the anti-Japanese national united front and positively pushing ahead with preparations for founding a party.

The strategic and tactical policies set forth by the President were as independent ones as they indicated the road of the anti-Japanese national liberation struggle centering on the armed struggle as required by the developing revolution and the ways for carrying out the cause of national liberation by the efforts of the Koreans.

The historic Nanhutou meeting gave a momentum to the Korean revolution's ever-victorious advance under the banner of Juche.
